As part of the St. Bartholomews Church Great Music series, Cantatas in Context showcases some of Johann Sebastian Bachs 200 rarely-performed sacred vocal works. Conductor Mary Dalton Greer, a Bach specialist, leads the Orchestra of St. Lukes and mezzo-soprano Brenda Patterson, in an evening performance of Bach's transcendent alto solo cantatas, including one of the most beautiful slumber songs ever written.
