October 29-November 2, 2012
Wayne State University College of Engineering
5050 Anthony Wayne Drive
Detroit, MI 48202
Thousands of cans of vegetables, soups and other canned foods will be transformed into works of art for Canstruction® 2012 Detroit. Teams of metro Detroit architects, engineers, designers, contractors and students will create giant sculptures made completely out of canned goods to help raise awareness about hunger issues while nourishing families in need throughout the community. All cans used benefit Gleaners Community Food Bank. The public is welcome to view the installations from October 29-November 2, 2012 from 9am to 5pm. The event is free.
