Candlelight Christmas December 19, 2008

visitors will witness Christmas traditions starting with Beauvoir's antebellum roots, the Civil War, through the Davis period and the Soldiers' Home. The "Davis Family" will hold a traditional Victorian open house in their home. Beauvoir House will be decorated in true Victorian style by the Beach Garden Society. There will be gilded magnolia leaves and pine cones and a Victorian tree will be located in the back parlor adorned with hand-made ornaments. Jolly old St. Nick will be on hand to listen to the children's (and grown-ups) Christmas wishes. There will also be a special workshop in which guests may participate in making Victorian style crafts and ornaments.
