69 Roseberry Avenue
London, England

After a wonderfully successful launch at our new venue last month, we are keen to bring you more interesting music from artists looking to showcase their projects.

Now the artists each have two sets with an interval in between, so that you can see the different sides to their performances at various points in the evening...

ARHAI
A breathtaking exploration into the musical traditions of many cultures. Initially focused on the music of the Balkans, this project has now evolved to the point of playing improvised and arranged music fusing acoustic instruments with technology.

OO LA LUME
We loved seeing a trimmed down version of their set earlier this year. Back once more with their full lineup, we can revel in their vocal a cappella harmonies. Originally composing music purely around female voices, influenced by gypsy, swing, folk, a cappella and soul, they have now added instruments to their already rich sound.

SILVER TORTOISE
Transcendent solo pianist who will perform improvised contemporary classical piano pieces for us tonight. He has just released his debut album Mira, so come prepared to walk away with a copy.

RABIMSHA
A performer of the classic Brazilian instrument the Berimbau (or belly bow), most often seen as an accompaniment to Capoeira. Travelling around London and playing in the streets for the love of it, here is a rare chance to see him perform on the stage at Candied Nonsense.

STEVE ANTONI
An award-winning poet, lyricist, singer and guitarist. Having regularly performed at many venues including Ronnie Scott's, The Vortex, Twelve Bar Club and The South Bank Centre, we are honoured to be hearing him here. His heartfelt acoustic music will be a real treat for all who come along.
