League of Women Voters of Northfield and Cannon River Watershed Partnership will co-sponsor a public candidate forum on Saturday, October 28th for the following elected offices: MN Senate Districts 36 and 25, MN House Districts 36B and 25B, and Northfield City Council. The forum will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at the Northfield Community Resource Center, 1651 Jefferson Parkway, Northfield. Coffee, cider, and cookies will be served.
This format for this forum will be three consecutive, moderated panel discussions as follows:
9 – 9:40 Panel discussion for MN Senate candidates for Districts 25 and 36.
10-10:40 Panel discussion for MN House candidates for Districts 25B and 36B.
11-11:40 Panel discussion for Northfield City Council candidates for Ward 4 and At-large position.
The panel discussion will be structured by a moderator, and will include written, screened audience questions. If both candidates for an office are unable to attend, the public may meet informally with any candidate who does attend, but that candidate will not appear alone on a panel.

It is our purpose to provide the voters of this district with an opportunity to hear the candidates discuss a variety of issues, including those related to the environment.
