Canary Islands Basket May 22, 2010

Fiber artist Carol Lang will teach students how to make a basket using the orange-tipped leaves from the dragon tree, Dracaena draco, native to the Canary Islands and very important to the Garden. We have major plantings and it is part of our logo. Students will have time to finish one basket and start on another. Wear old clothes, bring a pail to soak plant material, and bring a sack lunch. Fee includes all materials.
