FREE ART & SCIENCE CAMP FOR KIDS!!
The Mary C and Project WetKids (www.projectwetkids.net) are proud to offer Camp Leonardo - a FREE week-long Art and Science summer experiential learning opportunity for kids 11-13 years of age!
Registered students will receive hands-on learning about the Environment through Science and Art Exploration
- Learn about Wetlands, Barrier Islands and other Natural Habitats
- Take Field Trips and learn about the importance of our Gulf Habitats Ecosystems
- Have fun doing Art Projects that reflect the Beauty and Wonder of the Coastal Environment
Student work will be formally presented to family members on the last day of camp, then placed in Ocean Springs public venues for all to see!
Workshops and field trips are led by five leading Art and Science teachers:
Melissa Johnson, Suzanne Weidie, Shelby Fox, Vicki Turner and Danielle Miller.
Art Supplies and Bus Transportation to field trip sites are provided by the Mary C.
Lunch will be provided on the last day of camp.
The Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Center is able to provide this program in conjunction with Project WetKids through a generous grant awarded by Dauphin Island Sea Lab (DISL) and NOAA Coastal Services in support of the Gulf of Mexico Alliance.

June 29 - July 3 and July 27 - July 31
