The first ever Camp Flick group campout is certainly going to be a great time, and you will not want to miss out on all the fun. Hosted at the beautiful Allegany State Park of New York, Camp Flickr's first location was inspired by Tom's (mon@rch) glorious photography. You will not want to miss out on this chance to meet your Flickr Friends. There is no cost to attend beyond your camping fee. If you are in the area and do not want to camp you are still welcome to stop by on Saturday and join in on all the fun.

In exactly one week we are holding our first annual "CAMP FLICKR" event here in Allegany State Park. It all started 3 months ago in an innocent bird photo ( albino field sparrows ). Feel free to read how it progressed into this amazing event that is being planned. Quickly the www.campflickr.com webpage was developed by Jason and dates were discussed. Flickr friends were signing up and we even had camp flickr merchandise made. So, time to start signing up if you have not already (its a week away)!! If anything, please visit the camp flickr site!! From the forecast and reports, it was cold, rainy and even snowy! Otherwise i might have had better luck finding others from Rochester to go.

jlam - You missed a good time and we are 60+ miles south of Buffalo and when they were getting all the snow we were enjoying the campfire! Most all of the photos from the group were already uploaded to http://www.flickr.com/groups/campflickr/ site. I think we are still waiting for the flickr swag they promiced for setting up this page! We only submitted this 3 months in advance! But, I do need to give a heads up for adding this event to the flickr blog.
