Get ready to experience the Macatawa River in a whole new way. These fun, family-friendly canoe and kayak paddles will have the group finding local wildlife, floodplain plant species, and learning about what makes our watershed so unique. You will also learn about our Macatawa River Greenway project and what efforts are being taken to protect the Macatawa River and Macatawa Watershed. The Macatawa River is an easy river to navigate with a slow current and 30-50 foot channel width. The group will paddle down river from the Paw Paw Park or Adam's Street Landing and arrive at Dunton Park. The launch or stopping point may change due to weather or river conditions. Rent a kayak or bring your own. Seating and space is limited, so register early. To register by phone, contact the ODC-Greenway office at 616.393.9453 or odc@outdoordiscovery.org
