Camp Adventure 2009 August 7, 2009

Deaf Independent Living Association, Inc. (DILA) is holding its second overnight camping season of Camp Adventure, a wonderful three day, two night weekend to share experiences, make new friends and reunite with some old ones, on August 7 through August 9, 2009. The camp will be held at Camp Pecometh in Centreville, MD. Registration is open for children who are deaf or hard of hearing, siblings or children of deaf or hard of hearing family members. This year the campers will be divided into two age groupings, 5-12 and 13-17. Each group will have age appropriate individual group activities as well as combined group activities. Some of the activities included are the ever popular campfire and storytelling time, hiking, swimming, games, canoeing and a rope course for the older campers as well as many other fun things to do. The cost is $110 per camper ages 5-12 and $135 per camper ages 13-17. Registration is on a “First Come, First Served” basis. Limited scholarships are available.
