Don’t want your kids to spend summer in front of the TV? Enroll them in Paleontology Rocks! This Project IDEA Kids summer camp offers children ages five through 10-years-old a chance to travel back in time to their very own dinosaur ridge, where they will dig for fossils, assemble dinosaur skeletons and classify bones. Learning meets play with math, science and creativity modules while kids learn rock classification, create gem boards, dodge erupting volcanoes and build solar powered robots to help with the dinosaur excavation.
A typical day for a junior paleontologist starts at 7 a.m. and can ends as late as 6:30 p.m. to accommodate working parents. Lunch and themed snacks are included and Fridays feature an ice cream bar to congratulate campers for their hard work.
