California's Best Places to Work Gala Awards Dinner February 28, 2008

Los Angeles-based Employers Group, the preeminent human resources expert and advocate serving California employers, will announce and honor the top 20 California companies deemed the best places to work in the state, based on the first-ever survey program exclusively for California employers. The names of the winning companies will be made public and celebrated at a gala awards dinner, February 28 at the Beverly Hills Hotel, 9641 Sunset Boulevard, Beverly Hills, beginning at 6 p.m.

First place winners will be named in four company-size categories of large, medium, small and growing; four additional winners, ranked 2nd to 5th place will be named within each size category, and four other companies will receive honorable mention.

Initially launched in mid-July 2007, the two-part survey process measured 125 different criteria from the 400-plus companies that entered the program. Finalists were determined by scores from an initial assessment, together with their scores from an employee satisfaction survey. Assessment dimensions included work-life balance; employee voice and workplace culture; community involvement; employee turnover; pay practices; benefits; perks and incentives; training and opportunity for advancement, and diversity.
