The Bootup Entrepreneurial Society is helping to host the Vancouver edition of the California Market Access Program, run through the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service.
This one-day bootcamp-style program will feature experienced investors from both the Silicon Valley and San Diego markets, and is specifically designed to help facilitate access to the California market.

Who: 20 selected startups
When: Monday, September 14th, 2009
Where: Downtown Vancouver (exact venue TBD)
Morning: Chris Gill, President of the Silicon Valley Association of Start-up Entrepreneurs (SVASE) will run a “bootcamp” about the realities of pitching to investors and tuning your messaging.
Afternoon: formal investor pitch presentations from the 20 companies, split into two rooms. Each pitch will be 10 minutes long, with direct feedback from the investment panel of California and local investors.
Evening: cocktails and networking mixer with all entrepreneurs and investors.
