California Academy of Sciences Great Migration Celebration January 6, 2008

Help the Academy celebrate the closing of its Howard Street location and the beginning of the “Great Migration” back to Golden Gate Park. Hourly presentations from Academy insiders on what it takes to pack up and move numerous live animals and extensive research collections, and previews of the exciting new exhibits being installed at the new Academy in Golden Gate Park.
Arts-and-crafts projects all day
A final sale at the Academy Store
Penguin feedings at 11 am & 3:30 pm
A closing ceremony at 4:00 pm

At 5:00 pm, the Howard Street museum will close permanently. The new California Academy of Sciences will open in the fall of 2008 in Golden Gate Park.
