Program begins at 6:30 pm all you can eat buffet opens at 6:00 pm. Program kicks off the Year of Science 2009. This program will give an overview of the results of an international survey that examine the way news technology and social media are changing the way in which science is communicated. The presentation is based on an international survey of over 1,500 scientists and covers the use of social networks, blogs, wikis and podcasts, as well as how new media business models are challenging traditional channels of scientific communication.
