Cabaret follows the story of Cliff Bradshaw (Max Lerch), a young American writer looking for inspiration in the thrilling decadence that Berlin is supposed to offer. Into his life comes Sally Bowles (Lindsay McCargar), a middle-class girl from Chelsea, London, who is working as a singer at Berlin’s Kit-Kat Klub as the specter of Nazi Germany takes shape. Sally soon moves determinedly in with Cliff in the boarding house run by Fraulein Schneider (Kimberly Chatterjee). Their fellow lodgers include Fraulein Kost (Kim Dutrow), and the gentle, graying fruiterer Herr Schultz (Mario Rappa). The Cabaret’s most famous character, known as “the Emcee”(Josh "Ho-Jon" del Mundo) assures them that, whatever their troubles, they will forget them at the Cabaret. His songs provide wry commentary throughout the show as history is made and the Nazi Party rises to power. This performance is full of classic songs and dance numbers that have formed the foundation of what we call theater today. Musical numbers include It Couldn't Please Me More, Willkommen, Cabaret, Don't Tell Mama and Two Ladies to name a few.
