Adelaide, South Australia

WHAT: Cabaret Fringe Festival
WHEN: 1-26 June 2011
WHERE: Various venues around Adelaide (including La Boheme, The Promethean, Nexus Cabaret, Tuxedo Cat, Higher Ground and more)

When the fourth annual Cabaret Fringe Festival takes place around the city this June, it will cement Adelaide’s place as the home of Cabaret in Australia.

From humble beginnings in 2008 when a modest number of shows were staged at cabaret club La Boheme over the month of June, the Cabaret Fringe Festival has now grown to include 60 acts across 11 venues around Adelaide.

Featuring more local performers than ever before, as well as interstate acts, the month‐long open‐access festival represents the breadth of artistic expression in Cabaret in Australia.

The “Royal Gala” on Wednesday June 1st will kick off the Cabaret season. Featuring exclusive performances by some of the festival’s leading acts, and hosted by Sidonie Henbest, the Royal Gala will give cabaret aficionados a sneak‐preview of the best of the fest.

Tickets for all shows now on sale through BASS at www.bass.net.au or phone 131 246.
