Works by Canada’s Michael Oesterle and the UK’s Jonathan Harvey, comparing and contrasting the ways in which both have been inspired by medieval ritual and early music. Performed by a brilliant chamber orchestra conducted by Michelle Mourre and featuring Steven Dann, one of the world’s greatest viola soloists, the evening will include chant by 12th century woman composer Hildegard of Bingen, performed by the incredible UK soprano Patricia Rozario.
