This Month:

Featured Speaker: Herb Karlitz
President and Founder of Karliz and Company

Fom the moment he walked onto the Ed Sullivan show at age 5 to play drums and do the twist with Chubby Checker, Herb knew he was destined for a life in entertainment. Little did he know that his passion would take him to a law school (he’s an entertainment lawyer, but don’t hold that against him) and up throught the ranks of Burson-Marsteller over 14 years to create and lead its entertainment/event marketing division, which worked with everyone from Frank Sinatra to the Beach Boys to Stevie Wonder. There he estimates he helped conceive and excecute thousands of events from one of the first rcok concerts in Russia to “Hands Across America,” the follow to the USA for Africa Worldwide Hunger Relief Effort in the mid-1980’s.

In addition to his corporate clients, Herb personally counsels the American Film Institute, the Entertainment Industry Foundation and the Napa Valley Vinter’s Association, relating to branding, sponsorship and marketing initiatives.

His creative right-brain thinking and marketing saavy, combined with the entertainment, restauranteur and wine world relationships he has nurtured for over two decades, make Herb a force to be reckoned with.
