Sacred Fools Theatre of Hollywood California presents Sacred Angel Fist Circle of Note Gang Theatre and their production of Bukowsical! The Musical. Straight from sell-out performances and high critical praise, Spencer Green and Gary Stockdale’s Bukowsical!, a musical revue about the life of Los Angeles writer, poet, literate, and creative artist of the pen, the late Charles “Buk” Bukowski, comes to Revolutions for the kick-off of its national tour with its new director, Tricklock Company’s own Joe Peracchio. The production will then return to Los Angeles for a highly anticipated second run in April and continue on to the New York Fringe Festival in August.

The audience sees the life of this great master of the written arts unfold, from his unhappy childhood to an unhappier adult life, as he turns for inspiration to his number one friend: booze. Despite his steady diet of repression, depression and more booze, Charles becomes one of the greatest individuals of his kind, producing thousands of poems, hundreds of short stories, and six novels, and eventually having more than fifty books in print.

Composer/lyricist Gary Stockdale has created music for a variety of television shows and led the band on Penn & Teller’s critically-acclaimed variety series on FX, Penn & Teller’s Sin City Spectacular, and Showtime’s Penn & Teller: BULLSHIT! - for which he received two Emmy nominations. Most recently, he composed the sound track for Paul Provenza’s documentary, The Aristocrats. As a performer and singer, Gary has appeared in NBC's Studio 60: Live on the Sunset Strip, and sang on Neil Young's recent Living With War album project, soon to be released on DVD. He has also contributed vocals to films and television series.

Noted screenwriter and television comedy writer Spencer Green has written for many of the most popular comedy shows on television, most notably the hit show Mad TV for over three seasons. Bukowsical! is for mature audiences only.
