Consultants typically put their business development efforts into the practical, "doing" skills or techniques their specialty requires. But while skills such as assessing organizations, developing websites, giving presentations, and analyzing spreadsheets are necessary for consulting success, they are not enough.
Personal Power-the combination of self-awareness, self-confidence, emotional intelligence, and the ability to remain calm and centered in difficult situations-is a key ingredient for consulting success and satisfaction. Consultants who can combine personal power with their "doing" skills find it easier to exceed their clients' needs, generate repeat business, and meet their revenue targets.
Participants in this workshop will first assess their level of development in each of eight Personal Power dimensions, then work with each other to brainstorm activities and create Personal Power action plans.
Join us at the June BACN meeting to:
* Understand what Personal Power is and how you can develop it.
* Learn how developing your Personal Power can bring you success and satisfaction.
* Create a plan with at least three action steps to develop your Personal Power.
