Hands-on workshop shows small businesses how to create "Fan" pages (Part 1 of Unlock the Marketing Potential of Your Facebook® Fan Page series)
A personal profile is one thing, but if you want to use Facebook® for business, this introductory workshop is for you. Learn how to take advantage of all the site has to offer a small business. We’ll use a combination of lecture and hands-on to help you create your own page, so bring your laptop and be prepared to work to build your business’s presence.
* We'll start by explaining the differences between personal profiles, fan pages, groups and communities
* Then we'll walk you through a page's components
* Learn about profile pictures, vanity URL’s and notifications setup
* You'll create your fan page and make it more relevant and customized with layout, tabs and images
* We'll discuss the various applications that come with Facebook and how you can use them to your advantage
By the time you leave, you’ll have a Fan page customized for your business and concrete tools you can put into practice immediately. This workshop is also preparation for part 3 of the series the Intermediate fan page class being held on October 7, 2010.
