Build A Bluebird House February 12, 2011

Missouri's state bird, the Eastern Bluebird, will be the focus of this session. Once close to being endangered, these beautiful harbingers of spring are making a comeback. Powell Gardens has supported the return of bluebirds to the area with the establishment of numerous bluebird houses throughout the gardens and woodlands. You can now be a part of this effort through this class. You will construct a Troyers' Sparrow-Resistant Bluebird house, a new concept designed to keep sparrows away. We have a limited number of cordless drills on hand, so please bring your own if you have one. All materials will be provided.
