The Sloan Museum's Buick Gallery and Research Center features over 25 classic and concept Buicks, Chevrolets and other locally built automobiles. Regular feature cars exhibited include five concept cars designed by Buick: 1951 XP-300, 1954 Wildcat II, 1956 Centurion, 1963 Silver Arrow I, and 1977 Phantom. A Hellcat Tank Destroyer built by Buick during World War II is also on display. Visitors can relax with an old glass bottle Coke(R) at the 1940s soda fountain of Mackenzie's Drug Store; pose for a photograph behind the wheel of the Museum's climb-on car, a 1917 Buick Touring; or observe Museum staff and volunteers as they work on the automotive collection in their new vehicle conservation and restoration shop.
