The Buhu Show shows the most current works of the illustrators Josephin Ritschel and Jeong Hwa Min. Both artists live and study in Berlin and have worked for several journals and magazines.
Their works are united by the stories that are told and, on the other hand, by their plain style resulting from the tools and techniques used in printing.
The vernissage will show two new publications of the artists.
Josephin Ritschel exhibits “X-files” – a pencil drawn case of the FBI-agents Scully and Mulder, where they reveal yet another spectacular mystery.
Jeong Hwa Min illustrates in her autobiographical book “Feuerwerk” (firework) the feeling of loneliness in a big city in December. The pictures and flashy colors literally shoot at the viewers face and, thus, create a contrast to the narrated mood. The story, in form of a pop-up-book, was made using the screen-printing technique.

Alongside the books the show will also feature single drawings, series of drawings and print graphics.
