Come to a free informational session on Sunday, February 26th at 3pm at Squeaky Wheel. Watch samples of past students' documentary films, listen to the experiences of recent program graduates and learn what it takes to successfully apply to the program.

The BUFFALO YOUTH MEDIA INSTITUTE is a video production and community history project geared towards the diverse population of young people from Buffalo and surrounding areas. This program is truly a one of a kind experience – there is nothing like it in this area: An intense seven week youth media institute in which young people can earn $500 for producing documentaries about Buffalo! This year's theme will be Downtown Renaissance; students will select a topic rooted in the sociocultural development of Buffalo's Downtown.

Visit http://squeaky.org/events/2012/winter/byminfo for more information about the information session. You can also directly contact project director Jacklyn Farris at jackie@squeaky.org.
