Class Description
The Four Noble Truths were taught by Buddha Shakyamuni in his first teaching after attaining enlightenment. Through understaning the meaning of the four noble truths, many people have been able to solve their human problems and achieve full enlightenment. All of Buddhas subsequent teachings are included within the four noble truths. Within Buddha’s teachings we find universal remedies to many of our daily problems. We also find subjects of great depth and meaning.
In this series we will explore the Buddhist views and practice based upon the Four Noble Truths. This exploration will cover the basic to the most profound teachings of Buddhism, explaining view of meditation, death and rebirth, karma, the wish to attain nirvana and the wisdom understanding reality. We will learn how to practically apply our understanding of such wisdom in our modern lives.
The class consists of a guided meditation, a short talk and an opportunity for questions and answers.
