BSO Explorer Series: America, Ron Kearns Quintet January 31, 2008

Aaron Copland captured the sound of the American landscape better than any other composer. His Appalachian Spring paints a vivid picture of the verdant American countryside, including folk dances and song. Violinist and composer Mark O'Connor will be performing in this show. He draws influence from bluegrass, jazz and classical traditions.

The Ron Kearns Quintet is an acoustic jazz combo that specializes in bebop and hard bop.
