Inspired by St. Bart's Church, the selections of works to be performed have been chosen for their sacred, as well as surreal, influences from art, religion and music. The concert includes the screening of Red Bucket Films' 'Buttons,' Luis Bunuel's haunting short film 'Menjant Garotes' (Eating Sea Urchins), 1930, and 'Salvador Dali Home Movie,' 1954, with live scores composed by Keeril Makan performed by world renowned pianist Bruce Levingston. In addition, there will be a world premiere of a new work for Piano and Organ by Lisa Bielawa and Makan. The program also includes premieres of other new works by Bielawa and Makan, as well as beautiful works of Beethoven, Schubert, Debussy, Part and Rachmaninoff.
