The Las Cruces Railroad Museum will host a lecture on Tuesday, February 8, at noon. Charles Gruver will present Part I of “Living in the Present While Working in the Past: My Story of Coal Fired Steam Driven Trains.” Beginning in 1980, Mr. Gruver worked for the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad (http://www.durangotrain.com ). His twenty years with the railroad included working as track maintenance, roundhouse foreman, and finally operations supervisor.
Part II of this fascinating discussion will be offered March 8.
