Brown Bag Lunch & Learn ― Surviving the Holocaust: Morris Rosen June 8, 2010

Join us for lunch as Rosen describes his emotional story of survival during the Holocaust and World War II. On September 1, 1939, Rosen awoke in his home in western Poland to the sounds of airplanes flying overhead as German forces invaded Poland. Soon after, his parents were sent to Auschwitz, and he was forced to work for the German construction office. Later, he became imprisoned in a series of concentration camps, surviving death marches and ultimately being liberated by Soviet troops. His parents and five of his siblings perished in the Holocaust. Noon-1 p.m. Free. Bring lunch, or pre-order an Apple Spice Junction lunch for a small charge. Space is limited.
