Brown Bag: Logic Modeling November 15, 2007

Join Oregon Program Evaluator's Network for a brown bag discussion on Using Logic Models. This is one in a series of monthly brown bag discussions, organized by OPEN, aimed at providing a forum for the dissemination of evaluation tools and techniques. This is a no host lunch, and participants are encouraged to bring their own lunches to this discussion. Registration is required for this free event and can be done here.

The high utility of logic models will be explored by facilitator Kari Greene. Ms. Greene will also cover how to integrate logic model use into evaluation activities. She will share some logic model examples, a logic model plan, and varied resources related to logic modeling. This brown bag is aimed at attendees with some logic model experience. Brown bag participants will have the change to share their own logic models and the challenges, successes and frustrations they have had using a logic modeling process.

Kari Greene, MPH, is with the Program Design and Evaluation Services unit in the Public Health Division of the Oregon Department of Human Services. She is a past council member for OPEN, and has published and presented papers, including Integrating Evidence-based Practice in the Child Mental Health Agency: A Template for Clinical and Organizational Change, and The Ripple Effect: Implications of Building an Agency-Wide Outcomes Evaluation System. Kari says "I appreciate meeting with OPEN members because they tend to be so engaged, diverse and thought-provoking. I inevitably leave a training session having learned more than I shared."

OPEN will also be co-sponsoring the West Coast affiliates' event at the National American Evaluation Association Conference to be held November 7-11 in Baltimore, MD.
