The Las Cruces Railroad Museum is hosting a lecture series at noon on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. This series continues on Tuesday, September 14 with Food, Family, and Culture in the Mesilla Valley, 1910, presented by Lois Stanford. Stanford is an agricultural anthropologist in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at New Mexico State University.
2010 marks the 100th year of our Santa Fe Railroad Depot. To honor this momentous occasion we have invited 11 speakers to present 100 Years Ago: A Cross Cultural Look at Life in 1910 Southern New Mexico. The lecture series is a designated We the People project by the New Mexico Humanities Council. Light refreshments will be served. Reservations are appreciated at 647-4480.
