The Las Cruces Railroad Museum is hosting a lecture series at noon on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. This series continues on Tuesday, November 9 with Few and Far Between: Women in Dentistry in 1910 presented by Dr. Marianne Day. Dr. Day has been involved in dentistry for over 20 years, and was the first woman dentist to practice in Las Cruces and one of the first five in the state.
2010 marks the 100th year of our Santa Fe Railroad Depot. To honor this momentous occasion we have invited 11 speakers to present 100 Years Ago: A Cross Cultural Look at Life in 1910 Southern New Mexico. The lecture series is a designated We the People project by the New Mexico Humanities Council. Light refreshments will be served. Reservations are appreciated at 647-4480.
