The Las Cruces Railroad Museum is hosting a lecture series at noon on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. This series continues on Tuesday, May 11, with “Lydia Spencer Lane: I Married a Soldier”. This will be presented by VanAnn Moore, who has researched and re-created the lives of many famous historical women. She has taught at University of New Mexico Valencia Campus and has performed as a concert artist in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, China, Japan, Israel, and throughout the United States.
2010 marks the 100th year of our Santa Fe Railroad Depot. To honor this momentous occasion we have invited 11 speakers to present 100 Years Ago: A Cross Cultural Look at Life in 1910 Southern New Mexico. The lecture series is a designated We the People project by the New Mexico Humanities Council.
Light refreshments will be served. Reservations are appreciated at 647-4480.
