Broughton House Armed Forces Day Celebration July 1, 2012

Our event will be both appealing and stimulating to all age groups. The organisations that will support the event will ensure a good inter-generational mix of attendees. This will range from Veterans Organisations, Serving and Reserve personnel, UOTC, Sea, Army and Air cadets, Schools and Youth Clubs. A number of eye catching and inter-active stands will be in place in order that people can see first hand the changes in the technology that shapes how our Armed Forces conduct their business.

At the event there will be something for everybody. Stands will include:

• Weapon and equipment displays
• Rifle Range
• Climbing Tower
• Basic Life Support (First Aid)
• Military Bands
• Military Vehicles
• Sale of military memorabilia
• Fire and Rescue Services
• Greater Manchester Police Force

Various Cadet Units will be represented throughout our event offering details of where and when they meet for recruitment possibilities giving the local community an insight in what they do and how to get involved.
