Bach, blues and beyond; an extraordinary cello and guitar duo seamlessly blending classical and original music.
In one Era and out the other.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gideon Freudmann (cello) and Mark Herschler (guitar), collectively known as BROQUE, push the limits and blur the boundaries between classical and contemporary music. The guitar and cello beautifully complement one another, and both musicians are seasoned improvisors, composers and technically proficient players. Holding true to the sprit of the "classics", they play with passion and spontaneity that keeps the old music fresh and makes the new music sound timeless.

Freudmann and Herschler are both song-writers and performers with impressive solo careers. Their collaboration as BROQUE offers an opportunity to hear the nuance and subtlety of their acoustic playing and sensitivity as chamber musicians sharing a love for classical, blues, flamenco and contemporary music.

Mark Herschler live in NY so don’t miss this rare west coast BROQUE concert. You can listen to samples from their two CDs, Dancing on My Hat and Ghost in the Attic, online at cdbaby.com or iTunes.
