Nearly 200 local community groups, storytellers, musicians, artists, academics, activists, and elected officials—all dedicated to peace, justice, and a better society—will participate in the Fair, which is sponsored by Brooklyn Parents for Peace (BPFP), hosted and co-sponsored by Long Island University.
Workshop topics include:

· Israel/Palestine
· Darfur
· Rezoning and gentrification of downtown Brooklyn
· Socially responsible investing
· Creative Response to Conflict
· Community Organizing 101
· Samba Drumming for Peace
· Raising Children in Challenging Times
· Ceremony to acknowledge submissions to the Youth Peace Contest being held in conjunction to the Fair in which students in grades 3-12 can write an essay, create art, or rap for peace
· PLUS storytelling, making cards for Afghan kids, face painting, art display of Youth Peace Contest submissions, singing workshops, and more
