Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College (BCBC) will host a Season Wrap Party, celebrating its 2012-2013 performance season, on Thursday, May 23, 2013 from 6pm-8pm. The party will take place on the stage of the magnificent Walt Whitman Theatre on the Brooklyn College campus and include hors d’oeuvres and a complimentary martini bar provided by The Brownstone, fabulous door prizes including Broadway theater tickets, and a special performance by the flamenco trio Flamenco: inside/out. Business festive attire requested.
“Brooklyn continues to be viewed more and more as an arts destination,” says Yvonne Riley-Tepie, event co-chair and Vice President, U.S. Field Marketing for TD Bank, “and nowhere is the incredible diversity of the borough better represented than at Brooklyn Center.” Co-chair Toni Yuille-Williams, Director of Public Affairs for Con Edison, adds, “This has been a great year of transition at Brooklyn Center, and we have much to celebrate. From fantastic concerts by jazz great Freddy Cole, showbiz royalty Lucie Arnaz, and the University of the West Indies’ University Singers to the New York premiere of the ballet Amadeus, plus our outstanding family and educational performances, we’ve been able to bring lots of joy to Brooklyn in a year where we really needed it!”
Tickets to the event are $100 and may be purchased at www.BrooklynCenterOnline.com/specialevents.asp or by calling 718-951-4600 x 3326. All proceeds from the evening will benefit Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts’ programming.

The company enlists the talents of other artists who are open to breaking and bending rules while staying rooted in the flamenco music and dance tradition, creating multi-media avant-garde pieces as well as traditional shows. Flamenco: inside/out has performed at the Bleecker Street Theatre, The Dumbo Dance Festival, Big Screen Plaza, Monkey Town, many schools, and for over 16,000 people in the summer of 2011 at the New York Botanical Garden.
