Brooklyn Bridge Swim September 12, 2009

Usually we swim alongside a coastline, sometimes around islands, but rarely do we get to cross a channel. This is an opportunity to swim from Manhattan across the East River to Brooklyn, in the shadow of the most famous bridge in the world. To add to the allure, teams from Brooklyn and Manhattan will compete in the Battle of the Bridge. If you're not a swimmer but want to be part of the action, enroll as an event volunteer.
