Bringing Back Kerouac, Hawaii’s hippest beatnik music and poetry open mic hosts Girl Fest Hawaii. The atmosphere is intimate and red, set in the downstairs area of Anna Bannana’s, one of the oldest bars in Honolulu, formerly a WWII bomb shelter. Its biker-bar-alaskan-klondike-60s-rock-and-roll-hippie-retro-progressive-mod-antipretentious atmosphere attracts all the characters needed for the monthly play we call, “Bringing Back Kerouac.” .
