The idea was a to start a night somewhere where you could go and dance to stuff you wouldn't hear out in a typical night out dancing--by creating a night of all original remixes. Remixing the vibe and tempo of a track, adding new beats and reinventing the track for the dance floor. And suddenly, you CAN dance to CocoRosie, or Tegan and Sara, or Tom Waits, Fiona Apple, Sufjan Stevens, Blur, Bowie, Death Cab For Cutie, L7 and The Arcade Fire. Also expect remixes of stuff like Depeche Mode, Peaches, Goldfrapp and Radiohead. Every 2nd Saturday of the month, DJ Ray McCrorey will be doing his version of remixing at Brigitte Bardot at the Hush, Hush Lounge. Cover is $5, and he starts playing at 10pm sharp and plays out the night (oh the madness). There's always an all new video extravaganza and fabulous go-go dancers for your gyrating pleasure--it's grand.
