NYU School of Medicine and Women’s Heart Center will present Bridging the Gap: Medicine, the Media and Women’s Health, an all-day conference designed for physicians and the general public to discuss the media’s influence on the practice of medicine.
The conference will help open the line of communications between doctors and patients, providing them with the tools needed to forge healthy and successful partnerships.
Conference participants will discuss medical topics of particular concern to women, such as cardiovascular disease, Postmenopausal Hormone Therapy, the effect of new mammography guidelines on clinical practice, and how the media currently influences doctor-patient dialogue.
There is a $50 course fee.
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
NYU School of Medicine’s Nieca Goldberg, MD, clinical associate professor, Department of Cardiology, and medical director of the Women’s Heart Center will lead the conference, along with other school faculty, various clinical experts, and medical reporters.
