"Third Thursday," the Tigard Public Library's new outdoor summer concert series, kicks off with a performance by the Bridgetown Big Band on Thursday, June 17, at 6 p.m. at the Library's gazebo. The Third Thursday concerts will run through September.
The Bridgetown Big Band presents a wide variety of swingin', toe-tappin' tunes, including hits from legends such as Ella Fitzgerald, Quincy Jones, Duke Ellington, George and Ira Gershwin, arranger Sammy Nestico and Thad Jones. Vocalists will enhance the jazzy sounds of the 18-piece band.
Concert-goers should bring their own outdoor seating. In case of rain, concerts will be held in the Library Community Room. The series is sponsored by the Friends of Tigard Library.
