Michele Juskowitz (well-respected Casting Director & Acting Coach) of THE ACTOR’S LEFT BRAIN/RIGHT BRAIN is teaming up with Susan M. Baker (Creative Career Consultant and Veteran Producer/Development Executive and Theatre Company Owner) of ESCAPE HATCHER for a unique workshop that is sure to get you on the right path and to give you the tools to really attain your goals and enjoy the process. In this premiere workshop you will learn the “business side of acting”, the technical aspects of the audition and how to make your acting career flourish. You will also work with top-notch Creative Career Consultant -- Escape Hatcher Susan M. Baker in the Actor’s Alternative process -- brainstorming multiple revenue streams you can develop which can support you and allow for schedule flexibility while you pursue your dream! Baker also works with actors in seeing themselves as entrepreneurs who must treat their pursuit as they would a fully functioning business.
In the workshop you will learn:
• How to get seen and build your resume
• How to get a much needed REEL
• How to find the roles right for you
• How to find representation
• How to brand yourself as an actor (what makes you stand out – individuality)
• How to market yourself and become a sought after actor
• How to master your audition once you get there and impress the Casting Director, Director & Producers (including: whether to sit or stand, using props, camera savvy for taped auditions, how to handle feedback and questions to ask, understanding how different genres ie: drama, horror & comedy etc. effect the logistics of the audition)
• The Do’s & Don’ts regarding the business of acting
• How to find much needed resources (ie: agent/manager/casting director listings, photographers, retouching for headshots, head shot duplication, editing your reel, resources for getting your additional revenue streams up and running in no time)
• How to build multiple revenue streams
• How to become the master of your own destiny and your schedule!
• How to put the pieces together for any revenue stream so that you can be on your way

Michele Juskowitz Bio:
Michele has over eleven years of experience in casting, where
she's worked on several prestigious films such as Paramount's
Freedom Writers starring two-time academy winner Hilary Swank,
Touchstone's Phenomenon, starring John Travolta, Robert Duvall,
Kyra Sedgwick and Forest Whitaker; The Sunchaser, starring Woody Harrelson and Jon Seda, which Michael Cimino directed (an academy winner for Deer Hunter) and Warner Brothers' Sandblast, a Joel Silver (The Matrix & Lethal Weapon trilogies) feature starring Wesley Snipes. Michele's also worked on the casting for the NBC hit drama Providence, the Stephen King mow Desperation and several network drama and sitcom pilots.
As a passionate and dedicated acting teacher and coach, Michele has guided many of her students to great careers. A few recent success stories: She coached Channing Tatum for his lead role in the hit film Coach Carter starring Samuel L. Jackson, she coached Jessika Van for her lead role in the independent film Foreign Exchange, and her Guest Star leads in Cold Case and Without A Trace, she coached Rob Pinkston for his lead role in the independent film The Sasquatch Dumpling Gang that premiered at The Sundance Film Festival in January 2006, and for Rob's series regular role on Nickelodeon's Ned's Declassified and she coached Sarah Ramos for her series regular role on NBC's drama American Dreams. Michele also taught Vivian Bang who can be seen in the feature film Yes Man starring Jim Carrey and Scott Skinner who has leading roles in two independent films Horror 88 and 4th & Forever.
Escape Hatcher Susan M. Baker Bio:
Susan is a Creative Career Consultant. Her business, Escape Hatcher, has been helping clients figure out what they really want to do and how to do it for several years. She is a passionate advocate for finding “right livelihood”, pursuing dreams and finding ways to support yourself that naturally revolve around your passions and interests. Her work with actors has been productive in helping them create multiple revenue streams which can support them while they pursue their great love of acting. In addition to her work with Escape Hatcher, Susan also brings to this work the unique combined experience of being a veteran of Film/TV production and development and being the Co-Founder of a local Los Angeles based Theatre Company. She has worked in Film/TV for over 20 years -- in capacities as varied as Segment/Associate Producer, Development Executive, Writer’s Assistant and Casting Associate. She has worked with some enormously talented people along her way, June Beallor (Academy Award winning Producer), Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight, 13), James Manos, Jr. (Dexter, Sopranos, The Shield), Ron Hutchinson (Tuskegee Airmen, the Josephine Baker Story), and Roy London (famed acting coach to Brad Pitt, Michelle Pfeifer, Sharon Stone and Geena Davis) among others.
Having worked in production herself and also having a wide net of contacts in all aspects of the industry, she brings to this process an enormous understanding of the intricate skills needed to maneuver and traverse the Hollywood path from all directions.
