In 1986, Brian Regan moved to New York City, where he based himself until 1994. Still hitting the road often during those years, Regan used his time in New York to learn the difference between getting laughs, and getting good laughs. Brian Regan kept his comedy broad enough to work anywhere in the country, but interesting enough to make a name for himself in the demanding New York City scene. The tightrope paid off when he won $10,000.00 in the K Rock -Miller Lite Funniest Person in New York contest in 1998.
