Evan Watson writes accessible songs that flirt with pop melodies, but are also saturated in country and blues. His New York City based quintet, dubbed “The Headless Horsemen,” has been featured at Bonnaroo, The 2009 Non-COMMvention, 10KLF, The 2009 Pleasantville Music Festival, Cranmore Summer Series, and WTMD Baltimore Thursday Concert Series. Watson performed at The Red Room this past February, opening for David Mayfield and Frontier Ruckus. With cited influences like the Allman Brothers, Eric Clapton, and Buddy Guy, Watson’s live performance is riddled with soul, roots, and honesty.
