Born and raised in Orange County California, Brett Young grew up fascinated with Al Green, Marvin Gaye and Smokey Robinson, all of whose classic sounds would eventually influence his music.

Young’s passion for music grew since a very young age and that interest eventually propelled him to write songs and pursue music as a career. Young has since played in places such as House of Blues to Hotel Cafe, and shared the stage with artists such as Mandy Moore, Tyrone Wells, Jason Reeves, Hoku and many more.

His latest release is a collection of five songs that were recorded over the course of four weeks in Los Angeles California with producer Jim Roach. A fusion of acoustic, folk rock and soul, Young offers the right mix of original tune and honest lyrics that everyone can relate to.
