Want to enjoy some fine music from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries with dessert as part of the package?
Then come to Faith Lutheran Church, 10395 University Avenue, in Clive, Iowa on Monday, September 27, to hear Brenda Brenner, violinist and Kenneth Huber, pianist, perform the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Manuel De Falla and Cesar Franck.
The concert begins at 7:00 p.m. and a free-will offering will be taken. A dessert reception will follow the concert.
Brenda Brenner is an associate professor of music education at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and is also co-assistant director of the Indiana University String Academy; many of her students in the string academy have been featured in concerts in the United States, Europe and Japan. Kenneth Huber teaches at Carleton College; he has also served on the faculties of Westminister Choir College, Augsburg College and Virginia Intermont College and has collaborated with stars of opera companies in New York City and Vienna.
Brenner and Huber are on a tour which includes performances in Minnesota, Illinois, New York and Michigan as well as in Iowa. This performance is part of Faith Lutheran Church's 2010-2011 fine arts series, Soli deo Musica. This season is the 20th season presented by Faith Lutheran Church.
