One in every eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during her lifetime. There are various types of screenings available for early detection and prevention of the disease, including screening mammography for women 40 to 70 years of age. For women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, there are different treatments and therapies are offered depending upon the stage of the cancer, test results and general overall health.
